Our first Guest Designer

It is with great excitement we announce our first Guest Designer here at all things paper

Rachel Lowe is an experienced scrapbooker who has been on many design teams and has also had her fantastic work published. She turns her hand to most things, even yellow when pushed. Check out her own blog where she shares her latest creations.

Rachel was given the challenge of creating three layouts using the new Crate Paper Random range of papers and her work is so impressive, many bookings were taken at our Paper Dayze.

Rachel has created three single page layouts using a wide range of mediums – glimmer spray, dimensional fluid, as well as intricate cutting and layering. With four gorgeous children as models I can see where she gets her motivation to document their lives.

This class will be taught on Monday 12th March at 7pm. To book a seat, or purchase a kit, use the kite girl button on the left of this screen.

Rachel has used three 5″x 7″black and white photos on these pages.

Year in Review Subscriptions

Our first Year in Review class is being held this Monday, 27th February 7pm at St Basil’s Anglican Church 118 Somerville Drive Winthrop.

We have had an amazing response to this series of classes/kits which will provide you with four pages each month to document the month just passed. The classes will be held on the last Monday of each month (for your diaries).

We have offered you the choice of attending and paying for each class as you go, to pay for kits each month, or to pay by subscription. If you choose to pay by subscrition, you will attend all 12 classes/ receive all 12 kits, but only pay for 11 and recieve a free album at the end of the 12 months, to put all of your YIR layouts in.

We are finalising the subscription process which will be set up to take 10 monthly payments. We would like to ask that if there is anyone yet to pay for their first YIR class/kit that you pay using the kite girl pay pal link on the left of this screen. This will allow us to set up everyone for 10 payments (some pe0ple have opted to pay for Monday night’s class even though they requested a subscription.)

A reminder that these are the photo requirements needed for the kit:

Layout one – four photos 2″ x 31/2″ portrait

Layout two – no photos as it is a calendar

Layout three – three photos 6″ x 4″ landscape and one photo 2″ x 3 1/2″ landscape

Layout four – three photos 6″ x 4″ landscape and three photos 2″ x 3 1/2″ landscape and one photo 2″ x 3 1/2″ portrait.

(All of the 6″x 4″ landscape photos could be tweaked. For example you could use two portrait photos to fill this space)

You will find that by having the photos with you, this class will be easier to complete.

We look forward to seeing you Monday night. And if you are still interested in this series of classes/kits, it is not too late to sign up.

March calendar is out

We hosted our second twelve hour Paper Dayze on Saturday and although we increased our seating, it was sold out. What a buzz when the doors open! I tell you, you scrapping ladies are keen. No sooner do you find a seat, you are queueing up to book into our March classes.

We loved having visitors throughout the day also. The set up of our hall, the wonderful atmosphere of our ladies and the opportunity to purchase new stock and to view all of our classes, encourages ladies who have not booked in for the day to come  down and join in the fun.

Due to our February kit being sold out on pre orders, we have received more stock, and will have ten more kits available for sale. You can purchase one at our classes, our Friday night Paper Knight, or online by clicking the kite girl pay pal button on the left of the screen. We were impressed with many of our scrapbookers using their leftovers in the kit to produce fourth pages. Personally I was also excited to see ladies brave enough to tweak the design to feature different sized photos. Well done.

This brings me to our March calendar. You will find it located on the top tab. Print it off and then decide what you would like to book into. The pay pal buttons will appear on the left sidebar throughout the afternoon (as I upload them). I can tell you that there are limited seats available for our next Paper Dayze and Cricut Dayze. Any dates that don’t suit you, remember you can always order the class in kit form, with full colour instructions. We are even happy to post it to you. Each day this week I will be highlighting the classes and providing both pictures and descriptions. You will notice we have some mid-week classes and Paper Dayze, as requested by you.

**I am having trouble linking the Calendar. I will try again this afternoon, many apologies. The March Cricut Dayze, Paper Dayze and Paper Knights buttons are on the sidebar

An Update

I have just returned from a four day trip to Byron Bay to witness my sister marry. It was a beautiful beach ceremony, followed by a night of dancing and eating at the reception. Don’t they look gorgeous?

I am here with a couple of updates for the coming week. Firstly we have just two seats available for this Saturday’s twelve hour day of papercrafting. Our Paper Dayze is being held from 11am* until 11pm* at 118 Somerville Blvd Winthrop and costs just $15 to attend. So if you have some free time on your hands, book in and join us for a fun and social day.

With so many ladies pre ordering our February kit, we only have three left to sell. To save from being disappointed on Saturday, order yours now by purchasing it through paypal. Just click on the button on the left. The kit is a great way to warm up for your day of scrapbooking. Just follow the detailed colour instructions and before you know it, you have created three layouts. The creative juices will be flowing and you can move straight onto your next project.

For those ladies who have purchased a kit, the layouts require the following photos:

One 5” x 7” portrait, one 5” x 7” landscape , one 6” x 4” portrait and two 3” x 2” portrait

Monday night’s class (using the Lily Bee Harvest range) is full, but we have a couple of kits available of this class. For this class/kit you will require the following photos:

One 6” x 4” portrait, one 5” x 7” portrait and one 5” x 7” landscape

*Due to a commitment in the hall, we have had to move our Paper Dayze by an hour
